The City Livery Yacht Club is open to all members, both Liverymen and Freemen, of City of London Livery Companies, Guilds and Companies without Livery, as well as members of The Guild of Freemen.
It was born out of the City Livery Club, although its members do not need to be members of CLC to be members.
A list of Livery Companies appears on the Web site of the City of London Corporation at:

CLYC is also affiliated to the Royal Yachting Association (RYA).
See www.rya.org.uk
As the Club is based in London, it is also a member of the Association of Thames Yacht Clubs, which, each year, holds a Rally over the August Bank Holiday weekend. See www.atyc.co.uk
As a London based club, members may also obtain Port of London Authority notices by emailing Port of London Authority Mailings
Most of the City Livery Yacht Club events are now held at the Royal Thames Yacht Club. (Members are reminded that this is purely a commercial arrangement and they cannot use the facilities unless invited by a RTYC member.)
See www.royalthames.com
CLYC holds an annual rally in Cowes, Isle of Wight, in May, when its host is the Royal Corinthian Yacht Club (Cowes), and a Swatchways Weekend at Burnham-on-Crouch in July, when the host is the Royal Burnham Yacht Club.
See http://royalcorinthian.co.uk/ and rbyc.org.uk
The City Livery Yacht Club is very proud to have been instrumental in promoting the creation of the Trafalgar Egg in support of the RNLI (www.rnli.org.uk). It continued to contribute to the Appeal for a new lifeboat, 'City of London III', which is now on station (see a report of her naming and dedication ceremony here). More recently, the CLYC Committee approved a proposal to encourage support for the RNLI Tower Lifeboat Station.
The Club is supporting Lucy MacGregor in her 'Going for Gold' bid at the 2012 Olympics. See an uptodate report (pages 1 and 2) and also her website.
We are also pleased that the Committee has agreed that we should be associated with the Bexley and Sydenham Sea Cadets Unit.
