Laird and Margaret Ketchen have invited any members who may be in British Columbia this summer to sail with them on their C&C 29 Mk II. Victoria is located at the southern tip of Vancouver Island off the west coast of Canada and the scenery is spectacular with many small islands and bays and, most important, good sailing.
They will, however, be in England between 15 and 23 September and would be pleased to meet with anyone who might be in the vicinity of Old Coulsdon, Surrey on 20, 21 or 22 September. You can contact them for either of these purposes by email: mketchen@shaw.ca |

member of the CLYC Committee, has been
awarded the RNLI
Silver badgeto wonder if it would be possible for you to send an e-mail to members |
Congratulations to Clifford Champion, who has been awarded the Royal National Lifeboat Institution's Silver Badge 'in recognition of the service and dedication he has shown to the RNLI, the City of London Committee - and particularly for his organisation of the Trafalgar Egg fundraising initiative in support of the CITY OF LONDON III Appeal and for all his fundraising activities with the Livery companies in London'.
As Tony Vlasto, Chairman of the RNLI City of London Committee says, 'That this award is richly deserved is beyond doubt and it is also a reflection of the deep gratitude and appreciation of the RNLI for the work done and support given by the City Livery Yacht Club in connection with Clifford's activities'. |
